‘Party responsibly’, says security company to matrics

An appeal to matriculants to party responsibly when exams are finished.

Private security company ADT has issued a plea to matriculants to celebrate responsibly when exams finish at the end of the month, and never neglect their own personal safety.

“Our Grade 12 learners and their families have worked long and hard to get to this point, and we wish them all the best during the tough examination process,” said ADT’s Inland General Manager, Theunis Kotze.

“However, the immense sense of relief when the exams are finished does not mean that one can forget basic common sense when it comes to your own safety.”

Several big parties and festivals are being planned across the country for matrics to unwind and celebrate the end of their high school careers.

Kotze says there are easy safety measures that they should remember, especially if they will be celebrating away from home in a possibly unfamiliar area.

When it is time to return to your accommodation after a night out:

Kotze called on parents to share these tips with their children regardless of where they will be celebrating the end of the exams.
