District mayor wishes matrics well

'Good luck to you all!' – West Rand District Mayor to Grade 12s.

The newly elected West Rand District Mayor has a message for Grade 12 learners in his district.

Boyce Maneli, has conveyed his best wishes to schools and Grade 12 learners for their upcoming final exam.

Maneli said their future depends on the exam and therefore studying needs to be taken seriously.

“The West Rand District has set the bar high. In 2015 we achieved the second highest pass rate in South Africa. Class of 2016, we hope you will gain further merit and recognition in your matric results this year” he said.

He further thanked parents and teachers who are supporting the class of 2016 and reminded them they play a crucial role in their lives.

The Department of Education, both provincial and national was not left out of Maneli’s best wishes as he thanked departments for their roles in moulding the class of 2016.

“Good luck to you all! You will not only make yourselves and your families proud but the people of the West Rand also,” Maneli said.
