Break-ins rampant over the weekend

"Secure your premises," said EPR, after break-ins were trending with five incidents reported over the weekend.

Residents of Randfontein and Westonaria are urged to secure their premises after EPR‘s recent report on the crimes reported to them during the weekend of Friday, 14 October to Sunday, 16 October.

During this period, break-ins were trending, with five incidents reported. Theft came in as the second most likely incident, with four incidents and an attempted theft reported.

The detailed list of incidents follows:

Randfontein:

• Break-in – Mossie Massyn Street, Eikepark

• Break-in – Bokmakierie Street, Helikon Park

• Damage to property – Vleikop Agricultural Holdings (AH)

• Trespassing – Mica Street, Oasis Manor

• Break-in – Hillside AH

• Attempted theft – Cockatoo Street, Helikon Park

• Break-in – Ralerata Street, Mohlakeng

• Robbery – Main Reef Road, Central Business District (CBD)

• Trespassing – Fiat Street, Aureus

• Fraud – Hillside AH

• Theft – Betty Street, Wilbotsdal

• Theft – Albert Weining Street, Greenhills

• Robbery – Main Reef Road, Central

• Theft – Suffolk Street, Greenhills

Westonaria:

• Premises open – Van Der Stel Street, Westonaria

• Break-in – Botha Street, Westonaria

• Theft – R28, Bekkersdal

• Domestic violence – Bottomley Street, Westonaria
