28 drug users and dealers arrested

West Rand Cluster Police nab a total of 28 alleged drug users and dealers. Details here:

A total of 28 alleged drug users and dealers were arrested throughout the West Rand Police Cluster during the month of September.

Captain Appel Ernst, the Randfontein Police spokesperson, said the successes are due to the perseverance of members throughout the sector.

“Randfontein’s management is also grateful to the town’s residents who assist with information regarding drug activities,” Ernst said.

Brigadier Mashole Jacob Manamela, Randfontein station commander, said that Randfontein has no place for people who involve themselves in drug dealing and the possession thereof.

Manamela has on various occasions voiced his disdain for drug abuse and dealing. In April this year, he declared war on drugs in one of Randfontein’s most problematic drug areas, Toekomsrus.

This is not the only recent success for the cluster or even the station, as one of Randfontein’s finest, detective Constable Jabulile Simelane, recently succeeded in having a repeat offender, Andrew Sithole, whose previous offences had a bearing on the result of his most recent offence, sentenced to two years’ imprisonment.

The most recent success in the cluster show the West Rand Cluster Police are hard at work, ridding the area of drug offenders.
