Vehicle rolls: Two seriously injured

Man and woman in serious condition after vehicle rolls.

Two people were seriously injured when their vehicle rolled off the N12 near Fochville on Saturday, 17 September.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, said the male victim was airlifted by a medical helicopter to Baragwanath Hospital while the woman had to be transported by ER24 ambulance to the Carletonville Hospital.

“ER24 paramedics, along with various other services, arrived on the scene and found the vehicle lying on the side of the road. It was evident that it had rolled multiple times.

“Two patients, a man and woman, were found lying a few feet away from the vehicle. It is believed that both occupants had been thrown out of the vehicle as it rolled.”

Paramedics assessed both patients and found that they had sustained numerous injuries, leaving them in a serious condition.

“The patients were treated for their injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions in an effort to stabilise their vital signs.”

It’s said the cause of the collision will be investigated by local authorities.
