Open day for new hearing aid technology announced

As September is Hearing Awareness Month, the community will have an opportunity to test new hearing aid technology.

Hearcare at the Robinson Hearing Centre will host two open days, on Wednesday, 14 and Thursday, 15 September.

This is the community’s chance to receive a free hearing checkup. Other services on this day will include hearing aids at discounted prices, mini service of hearing aids, video otoscopy (inside view of the ear) and the opportunity to experience the centre’s new hearing aid technology.

“Because September is Hearing Awareness Month, we thought it good to give back to the community. There are so many people who might not be able to afford hearing aids, and we are looking forward to assist them,” said Elri van der Merwe, Hearcare Audiologist.

Beltone Hearing Aids, in collaboration with Hearcare, will enable customers to test and experiment with new hearing aid technology.

Bookings are limited, and going fast. Members of the community can only visit by appointment, so make an appointment by contacting 011 412 2414. The centre will be open from 8am until 5pm.
