A woman driver had a miraculous escape after losing control of her vehicle on the R501 heading towards Carletonville on Monday.
According to Chitra Bodasing, ER24 spokesperson, when paramedics arrived on scene, they found a vehicle that looked as if it had rolled on the side of the road, with a woman trapped inside.
The West Rand Fire and Rescue services used the Jaws of Life to free the woman, who was lucky to escape with only minor injuries. She was treated and transported to a local hospital for further assessment.
Bodasing added that the exact cause of the crash is unknown.
