Six suspects on the run from police

'Upon entering the shop, the suspects allegedly took out firearms and held employees and customers at gunpoint'

The Westonaria Police department has launched a manhunt for six suspects who are believed to have robbed a store in Westonaria on Wednesday morning (3 August).

According to S’phiwe Ndlovu, spokesperson for the Westonaria Police, the suspects allegedly entered the shop at about 10.30am, posing as customers. “On entering the shop, the suspects allegedly took out firearms and held employees and customers at gunpoint. The suspects then took various items from the shop and loaded them into what seemed to be a Quantum minibus,” S’phiwe said.

They then fled the scene. No shots were fired during the incident. A manhunt for the six suspects has been launched.
