Man found in pool of blood

A man was found dead in a pool of blood following an alleged mob justice attack in the Khutsong township near Carletonville last Friday.

Gloria Maswanganye, Hekpoort Police spokesperson, said they are investigating a case of murder. It is alleged the police were called out to a mob justice incident in this area. On arrival, police officers discovered a group of people surrounding a man lying in a pool of blood. The victim had sustained head and facial injuries. When the paramedics arrived, the victim was declared dead.

Although the suspects remain unknown, the incident is currently under investigation by the Khutsong Police, who are urging members of the community who might have information that will help bring the offender(s) to book to contact them on 011 783 9000.
