Three people were injured in a head-on collision involving two vehicles on Hillshaven Road near Westonaria during a heavy hailstorm on Monday, 25 July.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene they found one of the vehicles in the middle of the road and the other in the veld. Three individuals had been injured. The injuries sustained ranged from minor to moderate. The patients were treated and transported to the Leratong Hospital for further treatment.
It is believed one of the drivers lost control of his vehicle during the heavy hail storm, causing him to swerve into the path of the other vehicle in the oncoming lane.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigation.
