CPF closer to radio goal

CPF raises R12 000 for radios but still need R13 000 to reach their goal.

The Community Police Forum (CPF) Sector 4 once again held a successful fundraiser for new radios.

The fundraiser took the form of a boerewors braai on Saturday, 3 July at Pick and Pay Helikon Park.

Brian Norsworth, owner of Pick n Pay Helikon Park sponsored rolls for the fundraiser and Westgate Meat Market sponsored 300 pieces of boerewors.

The CPF sold 150 boerewors rolls to passing customers and now have R 12 000 which will be used to contribute to their radio fund. They still require R 13 000 to be able to buy the radios they need.

Nattilly van der Westhuizen, Chairperson of the Sector 4 CPF said they did not do as well as they hoped and in future they will find other ways of raising funds instead of selling boerewors rolls.

“Sector 4 CPF wants to thank Brian Norsworth from Pick and Pay as well as Westgate Meat Market for their generous contribution towards making the community a safer place,” Rika Venter, member of the Sector 4 CPF said.
