Suspect of gruesome murders to appear in court

The suspect is expected to make his first appearance in a packed court room.

The Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court is expected to be packed to capacity after the news broke of the arrest of the first suspect in the triple murder case.

The arrest follows after the tragic and gruesome murders of Anthony Scholefield (10 May), Kevin McAlpine (26 May) and Hanle Lategan (30 May).

Members of the community have been asked on Facebook to meet at the court on 6 June in support of the three victims.

The court is expected to be filled with various journalists from numerous publications along with members of the community.

It is however uncertain if family of the victims will be attending.

Although only one person has been officially arrested in connection with the three murders, there are rumours circulating that more suspects are in custody.

The News is aware of a 19-year-old male who is also being questioned by police.

The News has been in constant contact with the police with regards to possible new arrests.

There have, however, been no new arrests as the investigation is still underway.

The News will be conducting on the spot reporting tomorrow at the court and for the duration of the case.
