Facebook is currently being flooded with reports speculating that the body of a woman who has been discovered this morning in Tarlton is that of the missing estate agent, Hanlie Lategan.
Last night an urgent missing person alert was sent out on all social media platforms after Lategan did not show up for an appointment.
Patrollers and police searched all corners of town until the early hours of this morning.
Reports on Facebook and various WhatsApp groups suggest that the body of a woman that was discovered on the side of the road heading towards Tarlton is of Lategan, however nothing has been confirmed.
The identity of the victim is not yet known and police are currently on scene.
Residents are urged to still be on the lookout for the green Corsa believed to be connected to the Lategan’s disappearance.
