Experts predict large increase at the pumps

Experts say you haven't seen anything at the pumps yet.

Motorists are in for a belt tightening this June as experts predict a steeper-than-usual fuel price increase.

According to experts, the increases motorists have been experiencing thus far in 2016 have been nothing to what’s to come.

The Automobile Association (AA) has commented on the mid-month fuel price data released by the Central Energy Fund and they predict that June will bring with it a hefty increase.

The AA predicts that petrol will go up by 39 cents a litre, diesel will go up by 61 cents and illuminating paraffin by 44 cents a litre.

The AA explained that as the Rand continues to weaken, oil prices will rise and as a result motorists will have to cough up an arm and a leg at the pumps going forward.
