Proud to be a nurse

Meet Life Robinson Private Hospital’s own Florence Nightingale.

‘Competent’, ‘concerned’ and ‘compassionate’ are just some of the words used to describe Sr Doris Labotski at Life Healthcare’s Great 100 Nurses event, where she was chosen as one of the Group’s Great 100 Nurses.

Life Healthcare hosts the event annually to honour its nurses for their dedication to their patients and colleagues.

Nurses are nominated by their peers as role models who share the special qualities that made Florence Nightingale famous.

As unit manager of the medical ward at Life Robinson Private Hospital, Doris is an inspiration not only to her staff but to everyone in the hospital” says Dr Marinda Overbeek, Hospital Manager.

“It is an honour to share in life’s most private and emotional moments, not just as a bystander, but by supporting and helping those in need”, says Sr Labotski.

“I am proud to be a nurse. You learn to treasure every moment and to connect deeply with people in their time of need.”
