One person was killed and four others injured when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle they were travelling in on the R28 between Westonaria and Randfontein on Friday.
It is understood the car rolled multiple times ejecting some of the occupants.
Chitra Bodasing, ER24 spokesperson said paramedics as well as other emergency services arrived on scene and found the vehicle in the veld.
“There was nothing that could be done for a man who was found next to the side of the road several metres away from the vehicle.
He sustained multiple injuries and was declared dead.
“Upon assessment of the other patients it was found they sustained moderate injuries. They were treated and transported to local hospitals for further medical care.”
The exact cause of the incident is unknown. Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
