Cottage Lodge in Greenhills will be putting on a special show for Randfontein’s mothers this Mother’s Day.
Sunday, 8 May marks National Mother’s Day and Cottage Lodge has organised performances for their motherly clients on the day. Their event is free of charge and patrons can enjoy a day of old time jazz and comedy.
Lillian Swanepoel from Cottage Lodge said singers from the old Sophiatown Jazz scene will be performing at the event. The comedian to bring laughs to the town’s mothers will be Mr T who performed stand-up comedy with the likes of Trevor Noah.
The event is also a start to a permanent lineup at the lodge. They are planning to have regular jazz shows at the venue for their patrons to enjoy. The show will start at 11am and will run for the rest of the day.
