First of many man cave events a success

It went well at the African Survivor Foundation's first of many man cave events.

The African Survivor Foundation (ASF) team successfully launched their very first of many Man Cave Breakfasts at The Log Gabin in Westonaria recently.

More than 20 men attended the event, were they were entertained by Gert Kitaar, with his emotional and toe tapping songs.

Gert is also one of the founders of ASF – a registered non-profit organisation (NPO). Iain Batten, cancer survivor and co founder of ASF, also shared his walk with testicular cancer and spoke about the stigma attached to people going through this fight. His message was that of hope for all going through cancer and other difficulties in life.

God is that hope,” Batten said.

The aim of this breakfast was to get men talking and to educate the future generation on the importance of early detection and self-examinations. Importantly, also to break the mould of what a typical man is. The ASF team would like to thank the following sponsors of the event namely The Log Cabin; Better Bodies Gym; Delmas Butcher; L&L Cellphone and Tablet repairs; Vodacom (Westonaria); HerbaLife and Beta Bakery; Cartridge Cave and Shotokan Karate Westonaria.

Last but not least, all the men who showed their support to this cause and to the ASF team.
