Man critically injured in two-vehicle crash

ER24: Two other patients also sustained injuries.

A man in his 40s suffered critical injuries in a two vehicle-crash on the N12 and R500 between Carletonville and Fochville on Wednesday night.

“ER24 and provincial paramedics arrived on the scene and found a bakkie and a car on the road. The driver of the bakkie, believed to be in his 40s was found lying next to the vehicle.

“Upon assessment it was found that he sustained multiple injuries and was in a critical condition.

One man from the car was found lying next to the road and the other was found lying near the car.

“Upon assessment of the men, believed to be in their 20s, it was found they sustained minor to moderate injuries. The patients were treated and transported to local hospitals for further medical care.”

The exact cause of the incident is unknown. Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
