Residents couldn’t believe their eyes when they spotted a lion roaming the streets on Friday morning.
The lion was seen at the border of Elandsvlei and Greenhills and later in the Randfontein CBD. It is not certain where it came from.
While a resident was driving in the Elandsvlei area, he spotted the lion walking next to his car before it ran off in the direction of Greenhills.

The resident, Karel Khumalo, managed to get his wife to take a photo of the lion.
It later was spotted in the Randfontein CBD, wandering into businesses and in the streets.
