Two survive crash after bakkie strikes tree

ER24: both men believed to be in their late 20s and early 30s were found sitting on the pavement.

Two men are fortunate to be alive after surviving a horrific crash with a tree on Dolomite Street in Carletonville over the weekend.

It is believed the motorist lost control of the bakkie. The tree was uprooted. The freak accident took place early on Sunday, 13 March.

According to Chitra Bodasing, ER24 spokesperson, “The bakkie was on the road and the two occupants, both men believed to be in their late 20s and early 30s were found sitting on the pavement.”

The men were transported to hospital for further medical treatment. Bodasing said the cause of the incident is unknown but authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
