Thusanang Adventures, a youth development organisation recently held a career day for Toekomsrus’ youth.
The organisation deals with skills development and gives guidance on anything from life skills to call centre training and how to correctly draft a curriculum vitae (CV). The organisation started in Toekomrus in 2004.
On Thursday (10 March) they held a career day where speakers explained to the youth which paths to take for specific careers. The speakers included representatives from Soweto College.
The organisation is based at the Toekomsrus Baptist Church. Sheldene Fisher from Thusanang said any interested youth who would like to make use of their services are welcome to contact them.
Our services are absolutely free. All you need to do is call us and show up at the church. We then do a screening and you jump right into it.
There is an age limit – you need to be under the age of 35. According to government, youths are 35 and younger,” Sheldene said.
