On Saturday, 5 March, while Randfontein residents were having a good time at the Show, robbers targeted a security guard in front of Spar on Main Reef Road.
Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed, “A security officer in a Fidelity vehicle transporting money was overpowered and robbed of his firearm and a container full of money.
The suspects then fled in a white vehicle.”
Further details were not available.
The Randfontein Police is busy investigating the case.
