Police to strengthen ties with businesses

'We have monthly meetings to strengthen partnerships with owners who are interested in being involved in the forum.'

The Randfontein Police would like to continue building and strengthening relationships with business owners.

“We have established a good relationship with businesses in Randfontein that are dealing specifically in liquor and second-hand goods.

We have monthly meetings to strengthen these partnerships with owners who are interested in being involved in the forum,” Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson said in a statement.

Warrant Officer Lukas Benecke who is the Liquor Forum coordinator said the meetings will be held at 12 noon on the second Tuesday of each month. The venue is the Randfontein Police Vispol boardroom.

Dates for this meeting are 8 March, 12 April, 10 May, 14 June, 12 July, 16 August (due to public holiday), 13 September, 11 October and 8 November.

Sergeant Emilè Thiart, second-hand goods coordinator said the Second-hand Goods Forum will meet every first Wednesday of each month.

The venue is also the Randfontein Police Vispol boardroom at 11am. Dates for this meeting are 2 March, 6 April, 4 May, 1 June, 6 July, 3 August, 7 September, 5 October and 2 November.
