A body of a man was discovered on an abandoned mine in a reservoir in Deelkraal, Carletonville last Friday ER24 said.
“ER24 paramedics were called to the scene by security members who had found the body while on patrol. On arrival, paramedics found the body lying face down inside the reservoir.
The body was brought to the surface but it was found the man had been dead for some time,” said Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson.
He added that nothing more could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on scene. The cause of this incident in not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
