Randfontein has a new pageant queen in town and she needs your vote to do well in her latest endeavour.
Refilwe Mangope, a 20-year-old resident of Randgate has entered Miss Junior South Africa in the Junior Face of SA category. Refilwe started modelling at a very young age.
I use to enter when I was in kindergarten and I always won,” she said confidently.
Later on Refilwe went on to pageantry.

Refilwe would have also gone to New York for a competition but unfortunately she could not raise enough funds. She says that it’s unfortunate but that she will definitely try harder this year should the opportunity present itself again.
When the Herald asked this young pageant queen how and why she stumbled into the industry she said, “I love attention.” She has a very “If not, why not attitude” towards the industry and why wouldn’t she? Considering she has what it takes to be a star.
Refilwe is going to study her first year of tourism management at Damelin College. She said in the next five years she sees herself as a travel agent but ultimately she wants to be an international runway model.
This young talented woman not only models and participates in pageants but she also enjoys singing and is a formidable soccer player.
I love soccer. I went to Denmark in 2011 for my soccer but I don’t play as much as I used to,” she added.
