Add six more layers to your steak sandwich

Ever had that problem where you feel for a steak, bacon and toasted cheese but you don’t know how to put it together? Well look no further.

A recipe on Buzzfeed inspired by Reddit explains exactly what you do to being all these things together in one seven layered toasted sandwich.

Here’s how:
Start with two steaks use top loin or any other cheap alternative and salt and pepper both sides.

Sear them for two minutes on each side. In a hot pan with a blob of butter.

Slice the top of a large roll and empty the inside.

Put the first steak at the bottom.

Add cheese.

Add sautéed mushrooms and onions.

Add raw spinach.

Add crispy bacon.

Add more cheese. Buzzfeed used Provolone which has a lovely smokey flavour.

Add the other steak.

Add the piece of roll you cut off on top to complete the sandwich and wrap it in foil.

Flatten it (with a stack of books or anything equally as heavy) in the fridge so your ingredients stay fresh.

Wait until it’s completely flat and bake it in the oven for 20 minutes then slice once cool enough.
