A SOS Tactical Task Force officer apprehended a suspect after receiving a message from a worried female resident this week.
Jaco Calitz received a message around noon one day and rushed to her house. In the message the woman explained that a suspect was standing at her gate with a metal pipe, rims and tyres busy distracting and mocking her dogs. As soon as the suspect noticed the woman looking at him, he quickly started walking away.
Calitz followed the suspect but when he approached him in Freda Street in Riebeeck, he threw down the pipe, rims and tyres and started running.
Calitz gave chase and apprehended him under the Riebeeck bridge. He took him to Randfontein Police Station where he handed him over.
