Fake customers rob store

Victim to police: An hour after the transaction was completed the same two men entered the shop again demanding money.

Randfontein Police are requesting the public’s help to track down a pair of possible suspects who targeted a store recently.

Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson said the incident took place in Duncan Road at around 1.30pm on Tuesday, 12 January.

“It is alleged by the 21-year-old victim he was in his shop when customers brought in a piece of furniture and paid cash. The customers then left with the furniture namely a television stand.

“Approximately an hour after the transaction was completed the same two men entered the shop again demanding money while wielding a knife,” Ernst said.

The suspects took the cash and then fled in a gold coloured Sedan. The victim was not harmed.
