Six injured as taxi veers off road

ER24: We found the taxi off the road into the bushes.

Six people were injured after a taxi veered off the N12 road in Westonaria on Saturday over the weekend.

ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the taxi off the road into the bushes.

Occupants from the vehicle were found standing around the vehicle. On assessment, paramedics found that six people had sustained minor to moderate injuries in the collision.

“Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Carletonville Hospital for further treatment,” said Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
