A matric is a milestone for any young person as it could mean the difference between just getting by in future or struggling to make ends meet.
The Department of Basic Education shed some light on what is needed in order to receive a National Senior Certificate.
Requirements:
• Pass three subjects at 40 percent, one of which must be an official language on home language level;
• Pass two subjects at 30 percent, one of which must be an official language first additional or home language level;
• Obtain a sub-minimum of 20 percent in the sixth subject.
