The Randfontein Detectives are investigating a case of murder after finding a ‘neatly dressed’ body in Azaadville.
According to Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein Police, “Police were alerted that a body of a man was found in the veld on the old Azaadville Road.”
She added the man was a well-dressed black man approximately 40-years-old.
He was neatly dressed in a light blue long sleeve shirt, jeans and gym-type sneakers. On his person he was carrying an old gold coloured pocketknife. In addition, the man had a cowhide bracelet on his left wrist.
It is believed he might have died within the last 48 hours,” Ernst said on Saturday, 2 January.
The Randfontein Detectives would appreciate any information that might assist in the identifying of the deceased. Police are currently investigating a case of murder.
