Matric results out on midnight Tuesday

Randfontein’s matriculants eagerly await their matric results to find out if they will be off to university or if they should go back to the drawing board.

The matric results will be released at midnight Tuesday and there are various ways to get yours.

Where to find your 2015 matric results:
Newspapers
• Online
• Via USSD
• Via SMS
• At school

Newspapers:
The results will be available in major newspapers all over the country, however, these tend to sell out quickly.

Online:
There are various ways to get your results online. The first is by visiting the Department of Basic Education’s website. Matrics are required to provide their exam number and the website will generate their result.

News24 also have an online feature matrics can use to get their results. Through using this method, learners only need to provide their examination number.

USSD:
SABC Education has also launched a way in which matrics can easily access their results via USSD on their cellphones. Matrics can dial *120*35685# and enter their ID and exam number when prompted to do so to register and once the results are out, they will receive their results per subject.

The cost of the USSD function is 20 cents per 20 seconds. Pupils may contact the call centre should they encounter any problems on 011 504 0008, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

SMS:
To receive results via SMS, pupils can sent an SMS to 35685 that should include their ID and student number – both numbers should have 13 digits in order to be accepted.

Matrics will be charged R1 per SMS – free SMSes do not apply.

Schools:
Many pupils go back to school to pick up the physical paper with their results on Wednesday, 6 January. Matric results will be available at the specific school the matric final exam was written.
