Three infants, three adults injured in crash

'One infant sustained critical injuries.'

Three infants under the age of five as well as three adults were injured in a collision that occurred on the N12 near Glenharvie on Saturday morning.

The collision involved a light motor vehicle as well as a light delivery vehicle.

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that most of the injuries that were sustained ranged from minor to moderate.

One infant sustained critical injuries and was airlifted by ER24 to LenMed Hospital in Randfontein for further treatment.

“ER24 also transported two patients by road to the same hospital. The remaining patients were treated and transported by other medical services to various hospitals,” said ER24 spokesperson, Pieter Rossouw.

The cause of the collision remains unknown. Local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
