Cops find drugs worth R1 500 in man’s home

The officers found the suspect through information from concerned residents.

The Randfontein Police arrested a suspect who is believed to be dealing in drugs in Homelake.

The police found the suspect through information from concerned citizens in the area.

“At around 10.25am on Thursday, 12 November the officers followed up on information regarding a possible drug dealer in the area.

When they approached the house they found the suspect on the scene and they searched the suspect and his room. The members found drugs to the value of approximately R1 500 in the suspect’s possession,” said Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein Police.

Ernst added the 42-year-old man they arrested appeared in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court on 16 November. The case was remanded until Wednesday (2 December). The outcome is not yet known to the Herald.
