One dead, one injured in two car crash

ER24: There was nothing that could be done for the driver.

One man died and another sustained critical injuries in a collision between two vehicles on the N12 outside Fochville on Monday night.

ER24 paramedics, Fire and Rescue Services and other services arrived on scene and found the two vehicles on the side of the road.

“Two people were trapped in one of the vehicles. Sadly there was nothing that could be done for the driver. He sustained multiple severe injuries. He was declared dead.

The passenger, also a man, was extricated by Fire and Rescue Services with the jaws of life. Paramedics assessed the man and treated him for his injuries. He was transported to hospital for further medical care,” said Chitra Bodasing, ER24 spokesperson.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
