Police arrested a 40-year-old man who was in possession of large amount of unlicensed firearms and ammunition over the weekend.
The suspect was found in possession of four unlicensed firearms, two 303 rifles, one 9mm pistol and a .45 calibre pistol.
“He also was found in possession of a large number of different calibre ammunition,” said Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein Police.
The suspect will face four charges of being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and is to appear in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court today.
