Samantha van der Nest, head girl and grade 7 pupil at Gerrit Maritz Primary had an astounding year of achievements and successes.
She is surely a pupil to keep a close eye on and is destined for big things.

• U.13 hockey team – Certificate in Hockey Tournament
• Tennis u.13 – Took part in Tennis Tournament at Protearif, certificate received
• Tennis Diploma received – Chris Ferreira Tennis School – First in A section singles
• Diploma first in A section doubles, A section trophy received
• Tennis Trials at Noodheuwel Country Club – D2 level
• Diploma – Chris Ferreira Tennis School – First in A section singles
• Diploma Chris Ferreira Tennis School – First in A Section Oct Doubles
• Trophy for coming first in both singles and doubles in October
• Took part in RACA – received 27 awards (silver, gold and platinum)
• Category Winner – Storytelling unprepared English
• Category Winner – Public Speaking Speech to inform (English)
• Gala Event At RACA – Received two awards
• 100 per cent school attendance
• Invited to High School Westonaria’s Culture evening – to perform a poem that she got gold for at RACA.
