Three suspects sought after carjacking

Police are searching for three suspects after a carjacking in Mohlakeng.

The incident occurred at around 11.45pm on Sunday before last. The registration number of the vehicle, a green Peugeot 307 is NNY207GP.

It is alleged by the 45-year-old resident he was approaching his place of residence when three men approached him.

“They demanded his car keys, took some of his personal belongings from his pockets and then drove off with his vehicle,” said Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein Police.

Ernst confirmed the victim luckily did not sustain any serious injuries.

The investigating officer, warrant officer Masisi from Protea Glen Investigation Services would appreciate any information that might assist in the investigation. Masisi can be contacted on 011 213 9000.
