Best Christmas cake in town!

Cakes are on sale now at the Randfontein Herald office.

The 46 000 Lions Clubs have been selling Christmas cake since 1975 to fund their projects in the community.

This year is no different and this traditional Christmas cake sales can help local communities. The belief shared by members of the Lions Club is “Community is what we make it “. The Lions Club is one of the largest service club organisations. They have 1,35 million members and they are also the most effective.

Projects of the Lions Club includes vision programmes, hearing projects, diabetes awareness and education, feeding schemes, assistance to senior citizens and many more.

You can help by supporting your local Lions Club by purchasing a Lions Club Christmas cake for only R80 each. The local club sells about a 100 cakes per year, but is hoping to raise the figure this year with help from the community.

By supporting your local Lions Club, you also support their global service network, thereby helping the club with their volunteer efforts around the world. For more about the club and their projects you can go to their website www.lionsclub.org or contact Ivan du Plooy on 083 704 2855.

Cakes are on sale now at the Randfontein Herald office at 113 Kenneth Road, Greenhills.
