October was a busy yet successful month for the Randfontein Police after it has been confirmed a total of 372 arrests were made.
The most significant arrests include that of two murder suspects, numerous house breaking, theft as well as fraud suspects. Arrests for drug peddling and possession of drugs were also executed in the Randfontein policing area.
Acting Station Commander, Colonel Marius Smit expressed his appreciation towards the local and provincial traffic officials who has been assisting in this effort. They affected 22 arrests for driving under the influence of liquor during this period.
He also expressed his satisfaction and applauded all the police officers who contributed towards this success.
The numbers of arrests should be an indication to the criminal element in the Randfontein area that crime will only land you behind bars,” Smit said.
Smit assures the Randfontein community that no stone will be left unturned in the fight against crime in the area.
“Any information regarding criminal activity can be communicated to me and will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. We will investigate and take the necessary action needed according to the offence committed.”
