Is Snowy your dog?

The Herald has dubbed the dog Snowy.

The Herald has come across a dog that wandered into the office. But where is the owner? The search is on …

We regularly have strays wander into the parking area but none stay long enough or still enough to be helped.

This dog in particular who Herald journalist, Maritza van Zyl, named Snowy sniffed away at cars in the parking area allowed us to give him some food and water and of course many cuddles.

Snowy walked into our office with little persuasion and went around from office to office to give them his version of saying hi – wagging his tail.

The Herald now had a decision to make – who would be the one to take him home? Alas, every one of the staff members did not have space to keep this milky white hound.

We finally agreed upon taking him to the farm of one of our good contacts who breeds dogs and regularly takes in strays.

Description of Snowy:

• Large male dog

• Milky white

• Crossed between a Labrador

• Friendly – responds better to males

• Pronounced ridge on his back

• Possibly two to three-years-old

• Pink mark on the left side of his snout (possibly a birth mark)
