Walk with your furry friend for charity

Join the R'fontein and W'aria SPCA to raise funds and awareness for animals.

The Randfontein and Westonaria SPCA will be having their annual Dog Walk on Sunday 11 October.

The event will take place at the Randfontein SPCA with the aim to raise awareness for National Animal awareness week. The theme of the event is From Rags to Swags.

To walk your furry best friend you will pay R25 for the day.

All the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the SPCA to help them buy a new bakkie to assist more animals who are in need.

This year the Randfontein and Westonaria SPCA are working hand-in-hand with Spiffs pet grooming parlour. A raffle will be held on the day of the walk and animal lovers will stand a chance to win a free groom for one dog once a month for a year.

Registrations start at 8.30am and the walk officially starts at 9am. Dog owners need to make sure their dogs are socialised and are on a leash.

The SPCA gathered over R5 000 with their previous Dog Walk.

Should anyone wish to participate in this event, they can contact the SPCA on 011 412 3114. Email: info@randfontein.co.za. Facebook: Randfontein and Westonaria SPCA.
