Family of six injured as bakkie rolls

'The patients include three adults and three children.'

Six people were injured when a bakkie rolled after the driver lost control of the vehicle on the R501 about 20km outside Carletonville on Sunday this past weekend.

“ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found the bakkie on the side of the road. The occupants of the vehicle were found either walking, sitting or lying around the scene,” said ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing.

The patients, which included three adults and three children, were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.”

The exact cause of the incident is unknown. Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
