Bekkersdal township residents are living in fear of murder suspects wanted by police.
On Wednesday Linkie Lefakane, police spokesperson first identified murder suspect Rethabile Phera as being on the loose .
“Police also are looking for someone who may have information that could lead to the arrest of a murder suspect after a man had been found dead in the Thambo section in Bekkersdal.
Police received a complaint of a person lying in the street in a pool of blood. He was believed to be dead already. At the scene police found the body of a man with a gunshot wound. Emergency services personnel already had certified him dead. There was no other information.
“The suspect is unknown but we believe with help from the community the suspect will be apprehended,” Lefakane said.
