A man was found in a ditch in Robert Broom in Munsieville, Krugersdorp on the West Rand in the early hours of Tuesday morning ER24 said.
“When ER24 paramedics as well as Fire and Rescue Services and other services arrived on scene they found the man lying in the ditch several metres deep,” ER24 spokesperson, Chitra Bodasing said.
The paramedics went down the ditch and found that the man had sustained multiple injuries including stab wounds. He appeared to have been beaten as well. He was in a critical condition.
“Paramedics started treatment. ER24 Joburg West and the ER24 Rescue Vehicle paramedics with the assistance of Fire and Rescue Services and Life Flora paramedics brought the man back up to road level. He was then transported to hospital for further medical care.”
Authorities were on scene to investigate further.
