Paramedic goes beyond the call of duty – again

If you have a problem call your friendly neighbourhood paramedic, Jeany 'Dynamite' Blignaut.

Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, it’s Jeany ‘Dynamite’ Blignaut to the rescue once again.

Jeany is an Intermediate Life Support (ILS) practitioner from Netcare 911 who has recently been in the news for rescuing a Randfontein Police officer at the court has once again gone beyond the call of duty.

Jeany got her nickname ‘Dynamite’ after the Randfontein Police said they now understand what is meant by the expression “Dynamite comes in small packages” after Jeany, a small woman, rushed in with heavy medical equipment to assist a Policeman.

The Randfontein Police took this one step further and said, “Efficiency comes in small packages.”

Jeany has now made headlines by helping two elderly women change a tyre while in full uniform.

The emergency medical services company she works for has also been in the news for rescuing and transporting a dog in an ambulance as they would a human patient.

Jeany has received praise from the Randfontein Police as well as the residents for being an outstanding example of a model citizen.
