R’fontein cyclists represent town at big race

Six R'fontein cyclists made the town proud in the race.

The 17th annual Wilro Lions Cycle Challenge was hosted at the Tarlton International Raceway for the seventh year running.

Organisers and entrants kept their eyes on the weather as a fair amount of rain had fallen the night before the race. The day of the race was grey and overcast, but luckily the rain had stopped in the early hours of the morning making for dry roads and a chill in the air.

Organisers described the event as a success and all the funds raised will go towards various causes the Wilro Lions Cycling Club supports. They thank all the sponsors and volunteers who helped make the event possible.

On the local front, six cyclists from the Randmark Run, Walk, Cycle Club represented the town at the race.
