R’fontein dancers to represent SA in Italy

Local dance studio owner taking Gauteng dancers to new higher heights.

70 dancers from the Mario Gomes Hip Hop Dance Studio (MGHHDA) qualified to represent South Africa at this year’s Hip Hop world dancing championships.

The competition will be held in Italy from 19 to 28 October, 2015. The dancers come from various areas in Gauteng; Westonaria, Randfontein, Krugersdorp, Roodepoort, and North Gauteng.

The highlight of this qualification to this prestigious event is MGHHDA’s three mega crews that consist of 20 dancers. The crews age groups are from eight to 11-years-old, 12 to 15-years-old, and the adult team is 18 years and older.

The tickets for these events are on sale from MGHHDA as the proceeds will be going towards underprivileged dancers at the academy who cannot afford their travelling expenses.
