Stolen property: police urge residents to claim theirs

Attackers found with numerous rare items and police urge residents to collect their goods.

Police made two additional arrests in the Greenhills robbery case where an elderly couple were attacked in their home with a knife.

The investigation team was led by Lieutenant Colonel Gert Kruger made another two arrests in the early hours of the following Monday and were able to recover numerous items from the suspects.

According to Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein police said the suspects were linked positively to the house robbery but police believe they might have been involved in various other incidents as well.

Some of the recovered items include jewellery, watches, antique money, cellphones, ATM and credit cards, a driver’s licence, a signet ring, and matured liquor among other.

Kruger is urging the public to identify the items found in the suspects’ possession. The items are said to be rare and should be identified easily.
